Your questions, answered.
How to choose, prepare and store your Dr. Healthew drink concentrate, with answers about ingredients, daily use and your dog’s diet.
What are Dr. Healthew drinks?
Our current range consists of 100 ml complementary feed concentrates for dogs. Mix a measured serving with fresh drinking water. Oral Health, Gut Health and Calming each focus on a different everyday routine. They are not ready-to-drink bottles.
How much should I use?
Shake well. For dogs up to 5 kg, mix 5 ml concentrate with 100 ml fresh water. For dogs over 5 kg, mix 10 ml concentrate with 200 ml fresh water. Serve daily and always offer fresh plain water separately. Follow the instructions on your product label.
Can I offer the daily serving in two portions?
Yes. You can divide the recommended daily serving into two equal portions and offer them at different times, such as morning and evening. Prepare each portion fresh, using half the daily amount of concentrate and half the water.
For dogs up to 5 kg: mix 2.5 ml concentrate with 50 ml water per portion, twice a day. For dogs over 5 kg: mix 5 ml concentrate with 100 ml water per portion, twice a day. The total daily amount stays the same. Always keep fresh plain water available separately.
How do I store an opened bottle?
Refrigerate after opening and use within 30 days. Before opening, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Check the best-before date on the bottle. Pour into a clean measuring cup; do not insert fingers, utensils or other objects into the bottle, and never pour unused liquid back. Close the cap after use.
Where can I buy the products?
Follow the product links to Amazon Germany. Orders, current prices, availability, delivery and payment are handled there. This website does not operate a checkout or collect payment details.
Where can I read the ingredients?
Each product page highlights selected functional and flavour ingredients. Open “Read the full product label” on that page to see the complete composition, additives and analytical constituents. The label on your bottle is the reference for ingredients, daily serving and storage.
How do these concentrates compare with supplement powders, tablets and chews?
Dr. Healthew combines functional ingredients and carefully developed flavour in a measured drink. There is no tablet to hide, no powder to mix into a meal and no additional functional chew to serve. Each portion is prepared with 100 or 200 ml of fresh water. Choose the product for your dog’s needs and follow its label; different supplements are not automatically interchangeable.
How do the concentrates fit alongside dry food, wet food or a complete diet?
They are complementary feed, served in water alongside your dog’s usual diet. They do not replace complete dog food or make an unbalanced diet complete. If your dog receives a veterinary diet or other supplements, discuss the combination with your vet.
Can cats use the current products?
The current Oral Health, Gut Health and Calming range is labelled for dogs. Products for cats are in development and are not yet part of the current range. The existing dog concentrates should not be used as cat products.
Can a flavoured drink encourage my dog to drink?
A flavour your dog enjoys may make drinking more appealing. Research with other nutrient-enriched drinks has shown increased water intake in healthy dogs, but this does not establish the same effect for Dr. Healthew. Serve our concentrate only at the dilution and daily serving stated on the label, alongside fresh plain water. A sudden drop in drinking or signs of illness need veterinary advice.
Is slightly softer stool normal when starting a Dr. Healthew drink?
Slightly softer, well-formed stools can be normal. As in people, too little fluid can contribute to dry, hard stools. If your dog previously drank too little, getting enough water may help stools retain more moisture and become easier to pass.

What about Gut Health and stool consistency?
Gut Health contains chicory inulin, a prebiotic fibre that can influence stool moisture and consistency. You may notice slightly softer stools; these can still be normal when they remain well formed and your dog is otherwise well.
What does my dog’s stool score mean?
Compare the shape and texture with this seven-point guide. Score 2 is the ideal reference: formed and pliable. Score 3 is softer but still holds its shape.

1 Hard & dry
Separate, dry pellets; difficult to pass.

2 Firm & formed
A pliable, segmented log; easy to collect with almost no trace.

3 Soft & formed
A smooth, moist log that keeps its shape when lifted.

4 Very soft
Still log-shaped, but slumps and smears when collected.

5 Soft mound
A soft pile with some outline, rather than a log.

6 Mushy & unformed
Loose material with visible texture but no clear shape.

7 Watery
A liquid puddle with no solid structure.

My dog is drinking less. Is this a treatment?
No. These products are complementary feed, not a treatment for dehydration or illness. If your dog suddenly drinks less or seems unwell, contact your vet. Always keep fresh plain water available.
